Welcome to All Saints Church, Witley

All Saints Church, Witley, Surrey

We said farewell to Jane at the beginning of September and she is now the Rector of Godalming Parish Church.

A new era begins for All Saints as we seek a new Vicar. It will take at least 6 months working with the Diocese to find the right person, please pray with us as we go through this discernment process which has now started.

Meanwhile nothing changes, Sunday Worship carries on and all our groups will meet as usual. We may have some visiting clergy to work alongside Ann Fraser who is still here and is not intending to move away.

YOUNG SAINTS, starts a new term and all children age 3+ are welcome at the Jubilee Hall from 9.30 every Sunday. They join the main service in time to come to the altar rail for a blessing and then follow their banner to the back of church at the end of the service. All children welcome whenever they can manage to get there.

LITTLE SAINTS meets every Friday in term-time and through every school holiday for any baby or child under school age with their adult attendant. Tea, Coffee and toast are in plentiful supply, thanks to our faithful helpers. Just turn up between 9 and 10.30am any Friday and be sure of a warm welcome.

POP-UP COFFEE has resumed on Tuesdays from 8.45am. Do come and have a hot drink with us, we're there every Tuesday in term time. If you're very busy we do take-aways and it's always good to say hello.

POP-UP HOBBIES A new venture, if you have a hobby you would like to share or a piece of craft work that needs some attention, come and have a coffee and a chat, while you stitch, knit, crochet or just generally 'show and tell', everyone is welcome. The parish of Witley is made up of the villages of Witley, Brook, Wormley and Sandhills. The Parish Church of All Saints dates from about 1040 and is situated just off the main Petworth Road (A283) in Church Lane, opposite the White Hart public house. Witley CofE Infant School is opposite the church and has close links with it.

Apart from a regular pattern of worship on Sundays and Holy Days, the church serves the whole parish and after recent refurbishment is available every day for a variety of uses. The door is open in daylight hours for anyone who may wish to spend a quiet few moments or longer in the peace and quiet of this ancient building.

The mission of the church in Witley is to bring the love of God to all who live and work there. The church is open to all people, and here to serve the entire parish. Everyone is welcome at all services and other events and anyone is welcome to use the space in church for their own charitable or social events where appropriate. Click here for more information on using the church for your event.

If you are new to the area you are very welcome! There are a wide range of activities going on around the church that may interest you.

A team of Pastoral Assistants visit the housebound, take Communion to those who can't get to church for whatever reason, and generally help the clergy keep an eye on pastoral needs.

Jane and Ann are always available to talk to and welcome you. Enjoy the web-site!
